PUBLIC ADDRESS FOR TRANSPORT – SOLUTIONS

  • VOICE ALARM IS REQUIRED IN MOST TRANSPORT HUBS

    • Metro stations and underground train stations
    • Train station buildings and ports of capacity higher than 500 people
  • AND ALWAYS PUBLIC ADDRESS FOR SMALLER PLACES

    • Smaller rail infrastructure facilities
    • Train station buildings and other facilities like kiosks
    • Whole platform area along its entire length

Public transport is the green way to keep people moving in an increasingly busy world and is expanding across the globe. Keeping passengers well informed is vital for customer satisfaction and keeping them safe is a challenge for all transport operators. Public Address and Voice Alarm systems are a key ingredient to meet these challenges and Ambient is a specialist in the technology to deliver clear intelligible and reliable messaging in the complex acoustic environments found in transport hubs.

Modern travel brings together different modes of public transport to ensure a fast and comfortable journey and linking the information for this requires better and more advanced Public Address systems.

LARGE URBAN STATIONS

MULTIVES – FULLY DIGITAL SCALABLE PA/VA SYSTEM

  • Full Certification to EN 54-16, EN54-4

  • Up to 44 speaker lines per Controller and up to 254 Controllers

  • CAN SIMULTANEOUSLY BROADCAST DIFFERENT MESSAGES IN EACH ZONE

  • Unlimited power available, with single zones to 1300W

  • Choice of zoned microphones including analogue, digital and sip

  • TCP/IP NETWORK ARCHITECTURE over copper or fibre-optic

  • Noise Sensing to adjust messages to background sound levels

MULTIVES FLEXIBLE TOPOLOGY

An Ambient MULTIVES system will be able to offer live microphone-based or pre-recorded messaging as well as modern features such as interfaces from SIP phone systems or radios, messaging from tablets used by staff within the building as well as interfaces to train information systems and movement databases. MULTIVES will work over LAN and WAN infrastructures such that whole lines of stations can be controlled and monitored from remote line controller locations.

It can also drive induction loops for the hard of hearing and listening posts for the partially sighted. For life safety, Ambient manufactures electronics exclusively in Gdansk and has full EN54-16 certification. The loudspeakers exceed the basic EN54 requirements, with full flame testing for safety to 450 degrees.

Ambient can offer a full acoustic design package to ensure that every station has the clear intelligible messaging for safe evacuation and clear understanding by travellers.

Ambient offer YELLOW control software to allow transport managers to have a combined graphical interface on a PC to make messages and announcements while also having intercom facilities and passenger help points reporting onto the same screen, even linked with CCTV and Access Control systems. The software also gives them full reporting on system health and status which can then be passed on the BMS via SNMP software interfacing for a fully integrated building solution.

In an urban metro system, not all stations are large and Ambient is pleased to recommend the miniVES for the outlying smaller stations. miniVES has all the features of the larger system but in a smaller footprint and at a lower cost.

SMALL SUBURBAN AND METRO STATIONS

miniVES – INTEGRATED PA/VA SYSTEM

  • Compact solution – up to 8 loudspeaker lines per Control Unit

  • Ability to simultaneously broadcast 2 messages

  • Total loudspeaker lines power of 320W

  • choice of zoned microphones including analogue, digital and sip

  • TCP/IP NETWORK ARCHITECTURE over copper or fibre-optic

  • Noise Sensing to adjust messages to background sound levels

ALL IN ONE INDEPENDENT PA/VA SYSTEM

Equipping the miniVES control panel with a communications card allows connection of multiple remotely located stations, even several kilometres away, into one system. The miniVES will communicate with each other and the OCC using the rail operator’s standard LAN/WAN infrastructure.

As with the MULTIVES, the miniVES will be able to offer live microphone-based or pre-recorded messaging as well as modern features such as interfaces from SIP phone systems or radios, messaging from tablets used by staff within the building as well as interfaces to train information systems and movement databases. On smaller remote stations, system status and health monitoring are vital for remote controllers at the OCC to know that everything is functioning properly on the station and the Ambient miniVES is perfect for this purpose.
